Mandarin Online lessons for kids: nursery rhyme—蓝精灵(lan2jing1ling2) The Smurfs

This is a nursery rhyme of rich Western European overtones in Chinese. The prototype had been created by a cartoonist named Pierre Culliford from Belgium. Then it had been adapted to basic Chinese for children in Chinese.

Zài nà shān de nàbiān hǎi de nàbiān yǒu yìqún lán jīnglíng
在  那 山  的  那边    海 的  那边   有 一群  蓝   精灵
There are a group of Smurfs along the mountains and the sea.

Tāmen huópō yòu cōngmíng
他们     活泼  又     聪明
They are lively and clever.

They sing and dance happily.
