Mandarin Online lessons for kids: nursery rhyme—大风车（da4feng1che1）The Big Pinwheel

This is a nursery rhyme I had heard from TV program at an early age. It has been liked for its lively rhythm and easy lyric. It’s basic Chinese for children.

Dà fēngchē zhī ya zhī yōuyōu de zhuàn,
大   风车    吱  呀 吱 悠悠  的    转，
The big pinwheel twirls,

Zhèlǐ de fēngjǐng a zhēn hǎokàn.
这里  的 风景     啊  真    好看。
The scenery here is so beautiful.

Tiān hǎokàn, dì hǎokàn,
天    好看， 地   好看，
The sky is beautiful, so is the earth.

Háiyǒu yìqún kuàilè de xiǎo huǒbàn.
还有   一群 快乐  的  小   伙伴。
And there are a group of happy little friends.

Dà fēngchē zhuàn ya zhuàn yōuyōu.
大    风车  转     呀   转    悠悠，
The big pinwheel twirls,

Kuàilè de huǒbàn shǒu qiān zhe shǒu.
快乐   的  伙伴     手  牵   着  手。
The happy little friends join hands.

Qiān zhe nǐde shǒu, qiān zhe wǒde shǒu,
牵    着  你的  手， 牵  着   我的   手，
Hand in hand,

Jīntiān de xiǎo huǒbàn,
今天  的  小   伙伴，
Friends today,

Míngtiān de hǎo péngyou.
明天    的   好   朋友。
Friends tomorrow.

Hēi, hǎo péngyou!
嘿， 好    朋友！
Hey, good friends!
